Remote healing ritual

Before beginning with this remote healing session you ground yourselves first and ask the angels to protect you.

Having grounded and protected you then need to begin by taking a few deep breaths. As you breathe in, imagine that you can actually feel energy moving from the Earth up through your feet to the top of your head on the inhale, and then circulating down to your feet as you exhale.

As you continue to breathe in and out, cup your hands in front of yourself and visualise yourself sending beautiful white healing energy to your hands as you breathe out. Imagine that you are holding the person (or people) that you want to care for between your hands, you can visualise them or say their name.

You can “see” or feel this energy that is running through your body as light, Divine Love, or however you choose to define it or see it. The most important thing is to feel it moving with your breath, in with the inhale and to your hands as you exhale. Feel the Spirit, as energy, coursing in and through your body and then sending it to Heavenly. Remember to keep breathing!

As you breathe in and out, imagine that there is a Divine gathering of angels which is providing solutions quickly, easily and powerfully in a state of wonderful grace. Visualise peace, love and light flowing into the mind of those you are sending the healing to, to put an end to any pain and suffering, so that their body be cared for, and their mind will become freed from worries and will be touched by joy. FEEL this as you continue to breathe.

Knowing that the past cannot be altered for them, see in your mind's eye creative and supporting solutions skilfully created from the greatest good for the person you are sending healing to. Continue to breathe the energy in as you inhale and down to your cupped hands and the person you are healing as you exhale.

As you continue with this exercise, hold the image or name of those you are healing in the cup of your hands and extend your love to them, allow time for the healing to occur. Pray for the highest spirit to provide relief in their life. See that nothing is too big for Spirit for that which created the entire Universe can certainly intervene and bring ease to this situation.

Thank the angels and Spirit for their help, send blessings of peace and love to the person (people) you were sending the healing to. Slowly reduce the energy flowing to your cupped hands, a bit at a time... when it is down to a trickle, thank the angels and spirits again, ask them to seal the link with a burst of healing white light.

Breathe in and out slowly, allow yourself to relax and lift yourself out of the healing state.
Thank the angels and Spirits for their guidance and protection their help and support.

The Mystic Way magazine... Issue 5, Review

A beautiful image of the spiritual home of England graces the front cover of the latest issue of the magazine, the path leading to the Tor at Glastonbury pulls one into the magazine with hints of what can be found inside.

I don’t want to give away too much of the content as this is something that one has to read and digest themselves, but I hope to give you a flavour of what you will find when you look inside.  The foreword and first article are written by Ed Mystic Master Biggs, the foreword describing a recent trip to Glastonbury, as seen in the front cover, and a bit about the evolution of the magazine. The first article is then a continuation of his story “The Weaver of the Web and they Wyrd”…

The second article is by James Middleditch looking at how the words of the romantic poets, and in particular Shelly, can be use for ritual work. There are additional supporting links in this article. Next we move onto an article by Jenny Spirit and her experience of Sound Healing during her latest visit to Glastonbury.

You will then find an article by me on 3 card tarot spreads, with an example reading of a “New Deck Spread” which helps you to work out what your relationship with your tarot deck will be. Turn a further page and you will find my second article about the chakras and their associations with crystals, the body and the way we interact with our world. If you feel you would like remote reiki or a charka cleanse after reading this article please contact me on Chakra.Healing.Reiki@gmail.com Sandwiched between my articles is one on a banishing protection ritual to clear your sacred space – this is again by Ed Mystic Master Biggs.

Reading further leads you to a Guided meditation titled running waters by Lance McKirdy & Simone Schreck, with beautiful images and words to energise and calm the soul. You then finally move onto recommended reading, advertisments and a list of contributors.

If you would like a copy of the Mystic Way Issue 5 please e-mail mystikmaster@googlemail.com and tell him you read my review and would like a copy.

Blessings of peace love and light

Mother Nature's fireworks - Perseid Meteor Shower

The Perseids Meteor Shower

What causes the Perseid meteor shower?
The comet Swift-Tuttle orbits the sun once every 130 years, it last swept through the inner Solar system in 1992. As it passed near the sun it left behind fragments of rock and dust – it is these rock and dust fragments that cause the Perseid meteor shower. As the Earth passes through this gritty debris, the rock and dust fragments cause the Perseid meteor shower. This debris field was left behind by Comet Swift-Tuttle when it last came near the Sun.

The debris burns up in the Earth’s atmosphere, most of the meteoroids are smaller than a grain of sand, yet they produce an impressive display. Any fragments that do reach the Earth’s surface are then called meteorites.

How did the Perseid’s get their name?

The Perseids are named because they appear to come from an area inside the Perseus constellation. Much of the debris that the Earth will pass through is about 1000 years old, but the Perseids have been seen for over 2000 years. The first know observations of the Perseids came from the Far East, in early medieval Europe they were known as the “Tears of St Lawrence.”

When and where can they be seen?

The Perseid meteor shower can be seen from mid-July each year, but the most obvious activity is between August 8 and 14, and usually peaks about August 12. During the showers peak, the rate of meteors can reach between 60-80 meteors or more per hour. The meteors can be seen all across the sky, but because of the path of Swift-Tuttle's orbit, the Perseids are more easily visible in the northern hemisphere.

In 2009 the National Trust produced a list of the seven best places to observe the Perseid meteor shower in the UK, these were:
  • ·         Black Down in Sussex
  • ·         Teign Valley in Devon
  • ·         Penbryn Beach in Wales
  • ·         Stonehenge Landscape in Wiltshire
  • ·         Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve in Cambridgeshire
  • ·         Mam Tor in Derbyshire
  • ·         Friar's Crag in Cumbria

The 7 chakra system

The word 'chakra' is originates from the Sanskrit word meaning 'wheel'. If you were able to see your own chakras (as I am able to) you would see a continually rotating/revolving disc of energy. Each of your chakras rotates at a different speed, when these speeds are right for you the chakras are balanced. However, when a chakra is too open it will rotate too fast and too much energy is put into the system, when a chakra too closed it will rotate too slowly and put too little energy into the system.

When your chakras are balanced or aligned you feel healthy and whole, but an imbalance can lead to illness. It is also possible to have blockages between chakras which restrict the free flow of the body's energy again this can lead to illness.

There are seven major chakras that are dealt with by most reiki masters, personally I always include the Heaven and Earth chakras as well, to help with grounding and spiritual connection, but there are dozens  more minor ones, some say over 30.
The 7 common major chakras:-

The root chakra - first chakra
·         Location: The base of the spine.
·         Gems and Minerals: Ruby, red jasper, garnet.
·         Colour: Red.
·         This Chakra connects us with the physical world and grounds us

The sacral chakra - second chakra
·         Location: The lower belly.
·         Gems and Minerals: Amber, citrine, orange calcite.
·         Colour: Orange.
·         This Chakra controls the sexual side of our nature

Solar plexus - third chakra
·         Location: The between the chest and the navel.
·         Gems and Minerals: Gold, tiger's eye, yellow calcite.
·         Colour: Yellow
·         This chakra controls our relationships and interactions with other people.

Heart chakra - fourth chakra
·         Location: The heart area in the centre of the chest.
·         Gems and Minerals: Emerald, malachite, green jade, green jasper, tourmaline.
·         Colour: Green.
·         This chakra is the balance point between the physical and emotional lower chakras and the spiritual and mental upper chakras

Throat chakra - fifth chakra
·         Location: Throat area.
·         Gems and Minerals: Lapis Lazuli, sodalite, blue quartz, aquamarine, turquoise, chalcedony.
·         Colour: Sky blue.
·         This chakra controls the way in which we express ourselves and communicate.

Third eye - sixth chakra
·         Location: Above the nose between the eyebrows
·         Gems and Minerals: amethyst, sugilite, indigo blue sapphire.
·         Colour: Indigo Blue.
·         This chakra allows us to connect with our intuitive side and helps us to open up to our Higher Consciousness and Inner Awareness

Crown chakra - seventh chakra
·         Location: The top of the head.
·         Gems and Minerals: Diamond, quartz crystal, angel aura quartz.
·         Colour: Violet.
·         This chakra is the connection point between you, universal energy your higher consciousness. It allows you to pull in the positive energy that surrounds us and balances the flow of it through the other chakras.

If you feel you need a chakra attunenment to get all your chakras spinning correctly and removing any blockages between them please see my website for remote healing. (Click here for the link.)

A meditation/visualisation for clearing negativity.

Imagine you are going to visit a park...

You need to pack your back pack... put in it all the things that are making you angry or sad, or things you want rid of and pop it on your shoulders ... the things in it have been weighing you down like this....
Now you are in a lovely sunny park, wandering through the plants, stopping and smelling the flowers, you are having a wonderful time, happy…

On the horizon you can see a hot air balloon...

Walk over to it and take off the back pack and throw it in the basket...

If there is anything else negative you have forgotten to pack in the backpack imagine throwing it in the basket of the balloon.

Now you can see the ropes holding it down, I am putting an axe in your hands...  *CHOP* those guide ropes, go on!

Off floats the balloon, all the bad things were in the basket are floating away, you feel lighter, happier, more at one with the world...

Wave the balloon and all the negative feelings goodbye...

Wander back through the park and slowly bring yourself out of the meditation.

Grounding – the essential first step in any spiritual ritual / contact / technique.

Grounding is usually the first technique that anyone undertaking any spiritual journey must master. It is very simple and very powerful, it is the foundation upon which everything else is built. Grounding helps you keep your body (your sacred temple) a safe place for you to inhabit and experience life through, and prevents it from becoming overly stressed. In addition to all of this it increases spiritual and energetic awareness.

“Grounding”
There are a number of ways in which to “ground yourself”, so I will start with some explanation about what I mean when I say "grounding."
Grounding is the act of creating an energy connection (sometimes visualized as a cord or a path of light) from your body to Mother Earth. Humans are spiritual beings and by nature they have a great deal of power and energy.
Grounding helps to keep your energy system safe when you are doing magic or other spiritual work. It acts a bit like a "lightning conductor" and stops you from getting "zapped" by an overload of energy. The actual act of grounding brings power to your spiritual work as it aligns your spirit with your physical body, so that you can be present and attend to what needs to be done.

Technique:
  • There are many “grounding” techniques, but this is the one that I feel is the simplest and easiest to learn and master.
  • Find somewhere you are comfortable and either sit or stand.
  • Breathe deeply and relax.
  • As you breathe in think the words “peace, goodness, light and calm in.”
  • As you breathe out think the words “stress, evil, negative and darkness out.”
  • Keep repeating this until you are calm and ready to move on.
  • As you breathe in change the thought to “good energy in” and think about a stream of energy coming up from the earth through your feet.
  • As you breathe in and out pull this energy through you (including your spiritual centre) and out through the top of your head.
  • As you breathe out think the words “negative energy out”.
  • Allow the energy to flow down your shoulders and to the ground again. This not only grounds you but also provides a protective energy bubble.
  • Thank the spirits for granting you the energy to connect to them.

Pendulum basics

Using a pendulum for the first time.

First thing you need to do is cleanse it as normal - I find that either salt and running water or the full moon will do this. You need a bag, scarf or box to store it in as well - whatever appeals to you.

When you first use it you need to hold the chain/cord in your least dominant hand and think of the word "yes" and note which way the pendulum swings/rotates. Then clear your mind - the pendulum should stop swinging and go back to being stationary. You then need to think of the word "no" and note which way the pendulum swings/rotates. Then clear your mind - the pendulum should stop swinging and go back to being stationary. Repeat this three times, each time the response should become clearer - you pendulum is then attuned to you.

When asking questions I always find it useful to repeat a single "yes, clear, no" to make sure that the answer to my question is going to be a motion that I am familiar with.

As you advance, you can ask more complex questions, that involve different motions and a number of motions as well as degree of motion - for example how open.... more motion = more open.

You can also add in "don't know" and "don't care to answer"
